This policy explains how the Android app Prismly (package name com.entromoonic.prismly) and the website prismly.entromoonic.com handle your data. Prismly is developed and operated by Entromoonic Ltd, a company incorporated in Delaware, USA (“we”, “us”).
1. Summary
- Prismly has no ads and doesn't need an account.
- Anonymous usage statistics and crash reports are off by default. They are only sent if you agree, and you can turn them off at any time in Settings.
- Purchases are handled by Google Play. We never receive your payment information.
- Apart from these two, Prismly doesn't send data over the network. Your app list and your clones are processed only on your phone.
2. Data stored on your phone
To work properly, Prismly stores the following data on your phone. It stays in Prismly's private storage and is not sent to us:
- Environment check results (for example your Android version, whether clone space is supported, and which launcher you use);
- Your answers during the trial run;
- The list of clones Prismly created, and when each was last opened (used to sort the widget);
- Sleep rules and sleep status;
- Whether you have bought Prismly Pro (queried from Google Play and cached on your phone so it also works offline);
- Your preferences, including whether you agreed to send usage statistics and crash reports.
The log of actions during the current session is kept in memory only, to show details when something goes wrong. It is cleared when you close Prismly.
Prismly reads the list of apps installed in the main space only to let you choose which app to clone, and, if you turn on “Ask when new apps are installed”, to notice newly installed apps. This list is not stored anywhere else and is not sent anywhere.
Clearing Prismly's data or uninstalling Prismly deletes all of the data above (your clones and the data inside them are not affected).
3. Optional usage statistics and crash reports
Off by default. After you complete the setup checklist, Prismly asks you once whether to turn them on; you can also turn them on or off at any time in Settings. Until you agree, the components involved are not started and no data is sent. When you turn them off, sending stops immediately, and the random identifier created for this purpose and any data not yet sent are deleted from your phone.
When turned on, data goes to two service providers:
| Usage statistics | Crash reports | |
|---|---|---|
| Provider | TelemetryDeck GmbH (Germany) | Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry, USA), using its EU data center |
| Purpose | To learn which phone models and Android versions Prismly works on, which check fails most often, whether clone space can be created, and how many people upgrade to Pro, so we can improve compatibility and features | To find and fix crashes, freezes (ANRs) and failed operations |
| What is sent | A randomly generated installation identifier (hashed, so it can't be traced back to your device); app version; Android version; phone brand and model; system language and region; feature usage events, including the result of each check, the result of creating the clone space, and whether a Pro purchase was opened / completed (without order number, amount or Google account) | A randomly generated installation identifier; app version; Android version; phone manufacturer and model; technical information about the crash or error (error type, code stack trace, and Prismly's internal screen changes before the error) |
| What is not sent | Your app list, the names or package names of your clones, accounts, contacts, photos, files, precise location, advertising ID | Same as for usage statistics. We have turned off screenshots, view recording and IP address storage |
| Where it is stored | European Union (Germany, Netherlands) | European Union (Frankfurt, Germany); Sentry account and project settings and similar metadata are stored in the USA |
| How long it is kept | 24 months | Deleted automatically after 30 days |
Usage statistics are anonymized before they are sent; neither we nor TelemetryDeck can link them to you.
Legal basis: For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we process this data based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.
International transfers: Sentry is a US company and some metadata is stored in the USA. Sentry's data processing agreement and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply between us and Sentry.
4. Purchases
Purchases, payments and refunds of Prismly Pro are all handled by Google Play, and Google's privacy policy applies. We never receive your payment method, name or Google account. From Google Play, Prismly only receives whether this Google account has bought Prismly Pro, and the corresponding purchase token, which it uses to unlock features and caches on your phone.
5. Notification permission
Prismly asks for notification permission only when you turn on “Ask when new apps are installed”, and uses it only to let you know whether to clone a newly installed app, and when an app that has a clone is uninstalled.
6. System permissions obtained through Shizuku
Shizuku is a separate third-party tool that you install and authorize yourself. The permissions Prismly obtains through it are used only to: create the clone space; create, remove and open clones; put clones to sleep and wake them; delete the clone space. All of this happens on your phone. Apart from scheduled actions you set up yourself, such as scheduled sleep, these operations only run when you trigger them.
7. Compatibility report
A report only leaves Prismly when you tap “Copy”, “Share” or “Send to Prismly” on the “Generate compatibility report” screen, and you choose who it goes to. “Send to Prismly” opens your email app, and you decide whether to send it.
The report contains your phone model, Android version, chipset platform, default launcher, check results, and the package name of the one app you chose during the trial run. It does not contain your app list, accounts or other personal information; the names of other apps in the action log are hidden.
If you send us a report, we use it only to improve compatibility, and we keep the email so we can reply to you and follow up. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
8. Google Play app protection
Prismly is distributed through Google Play with Google Play's automatic protection turned on: Google Play adds an integrity check to the app package to confirm that Prismly came from Google Play and hasn't been tampered with. This check is provided and processed by Google, and Google's privacy policy applies.
9. Website
prismly.entromoonic.com does not use cookies, analytics, ads or third-party tracking, and does not load external fonts or scripts. The website is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect against attacks, Cloudflare processes technical information about requests (such as IP address and browser type). We have not turned on Cloudflare's web analytics.
10. Children
Prismly is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. In some countries and regions, users under the local age of consent (usually 13–16) need permission from a parent or guardian before turning on usage statistics and crash reports.
11. Your rights and choices
- Turn off usage statistics and crash reports: in Prismly's Settings, at any time.
- Delete data on your phone: clear Prismly's data, or uninstall Prismly.
- Delete data that has been sent: crash reports are deleted automatically after 30 days; usage statistics are anonymous and can't be linked to you. When you turn them off, the random identifier on your phone is deleted, and later data can no longer be linked to earlier data.
- Depending on the laws where you live (for example the GDPR), you may also have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability, and you can lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, write to us. None of the data we process can directly identify you, so we may need more information from you to find the relevant data.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.
12. Changes and contact
When this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date. If a change significantly alters how data is processed (for example, sending a new type of data), Prismly will ask for your consent again in the app.
